28 April 2017
As we are waving the last working day of April goodbye, we would like to extend our gratitude to our clients for their patience whilst we have spent a lot of time prioritising probate application cases this month. The Lord Chancellor had proposed to substantially raise the probate application fees in May 2017 which would have resulted in increased costs to our clients running into £100s or £1000s had we not been able to make the application for the grant before the increase scheduled for early May.
The Lord Chancellor withdrew the proposal to raise the fees shortly after the election announcement.
We would also like to thank our clients for their patience and understanding due to the IT disruptions we experienced this month as a result of the installation of a new server.
We are looking forward to going into a less disruptive May and celebrating our Emma Davies’ qualification as a solicitor this evening.
